Give your students a front-row seat to one of nature’s most amazing experiences! The Fayette County Ag in the Classroom Chick Hatching Program allows students to observe the life cycle of a chicken through hands-on learning and daily classroom observation.

From watching eggs develop to welcoming fluffy chicks into the classroom, this experience helps students make meaningful connections to agriculture, science, responsibility, and the world around them.

 About the Program

​

The Chick Hatching Program provides selected classrooms with the materials and resources needed to successfully hatch chicks in the classroom.

Students will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about the chicken life cycle

• Observe embryo development

• Practice responsibility through daily care

• Ask questions and make observations

• Connect classroom learning to agriculture

This hands-on experience is a memorable way to bring science and agriculture together!

Due to limited supplies, applications will be reviewed and

classrooms will be selected based on availability.
